I was inspecting my fuel line kit before installing it on my fuel rail and noticed that one of the braided line fittings doesn't have the same angled seat as the others. If you look at the one on the right, it has only like 1/4 of the angled surface area as the other two (the angled mating surface is indicated by the red). It seems to me that you'd want as much surface area as possible to help prevent leaks. If it makes any difference, the hose in question is the one that goes on the front of the fuel rail (90 degree and 45degree), and the problem is with the 90 degree fitting. The 45 degree fitting on the other end looks just fine.
